As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Dispatch in Rochester, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, handling incoming calls and radio traffic, and supporting security-related operations from the dispatch post.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, communication systems, and other site technology to identify unusual activity and help coordinate appropriate responses in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Dispatch officers to reported incidents, service requests, and priority calls across the location, while maintaining clear communication with site personnel, vendors, and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Document incidents, activity logs, visitor information, and other required reports with attention to detail, and relay timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
• Support regular and random patrol activity by tracking officer assignments, monitoring completion of tours, and communicating site-specific instructions for interior and perimeter coverage.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
