Interim Global Director of Talent Acquisition Position Overview

The Interim Global Director of Talent Acquisition provides executive leadership for a global Talent Acquisition function during a period of organizational transition or transformation. This leader is responsible for ensuring continuity of recruiting operations while driving execution of enterprise hiring priorities and supporting the ongoing evolution of the Talent Acquisition organization.

Working closely with HR Business Partners, executive leadership, business stakeholders, regional Talent Acquisition leaders, and recruiting teams, the Interim Global Director will provide strategic direction, operational oversight, and leadership to ensure effective delivery of recruiting services across multiple regions.

This role requires a seasoned Talent Acquisition executive who can quickly assess organizational needs, build credibility with stakeholders, lead high-performing teams, and implement best practices that improve recruiting effectiveness and operational consistency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the global Talent Acquisition organization.

  • Ensure continuity of recruiting operations while maintaining service levels during a leadership transition.

  • Partner with executive leadership, HR Business Partners, and business leaders to align talent acquisition strategies with organizational priorities.

  • Lead and support regional Talent Acquisition leaders and recruiting teams across multiple geographic locations.

  • Drive execution of enterprise hiring initiatives and critical recruiting priorities.

  • Evaluate current Talent Acquisition processes and identify opportunities for improvement, standardization, and operational efficiency.

  • Support the transformation and evolution of the Talent Acquisition operating model by implementing leading practices and scalable processes.

  • Establish and monitor recruiting performance metrics, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and opportunities.

  • Ensure recruiting practices comply with company policies, employment laws, and applicable regulatory requirements across supported regions.

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to improve hiring manager satisfaction and recruiting effectiveness.

  • Coach and develop Talent Acquisition leaders and recruiters while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Identify potential risks impacting hiring objectives and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Provide executive-level reporting on recruiting performance, workforce planning initiatives, and organizational priorities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition leadership experience, including leadership of enterprise or global recruiting organizations.

  • Demonstrated experience leading Talent Acquisition teams through organizational change, transformation, or business growth.

  • Experience supporting multi-region or global recruiting operations.

  • Strong knowledge of Talent Acquisition best practices, workforce planning, employer branding, and recruiting operations.

  • Experience partnering with senior executives and cross-functional business leaders.

  • Strong understanding of employment laws, compliance, and recruiting governance.

  • Proven ability to lead through ambiguity while balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day operational execution.

  • Excellent communication, executive presentation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.

  • Experience leveraging recruiting technologies, applicant tracking systems, recruiting analytics, and process automation.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading Talent Acquisition transformations or operating model redesign initiatives.

  • Experience working within complex, matrixed, or multinational organizations.

  • Familiarity with recruiting metrics, workforce analytics, and continuous process improvement methodologies.

  • Consulting or interim executive leadership experience is highly desirable.
