Description

The Director, Strategic Sourcing provides leadership for contract management to align agreements with business goals and reduce risk. This role oversees the full contract lifecycle, establishes governance frameworks, and ensures consistent execution. It partners with business, legal, finance, and operations to drive value, align strategies with priorities, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external requirements. 

Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful: 

Job Duties:

  • Lead contract management functions across the organization, ensuring consistent execution of contract lifecycle activities from drafting through renewal or termination.
  • Establish and oversee frameworks, standards, and processes for contract development, negotiation, approval, and administration.
  • Oversee negotiation of complex contracts, balancing financial, operational, and risk considerations to support business outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and internal policies across all agreements.
  • Provide leadership on contract‑related risks, issues, and escalations, driving resolution through cross‑functional coordination.
  • Partner with stakeholders to align contract structures and terms with business needs, service delivery expectations, and financial goals.
  • Oversee contract tracking, reporting, and performance monitoring, using data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and management of contracts, including amendments, renewals, and version control within centralized repositories.
  • Drive continuous improvement in contract management processes, tools, and workflows to increase efficiency and transparency.
  • Support financial oversight related to contracts, including cost optimization and value realization from agreements.
  • Lead and develop managers and/or senior professionals, fostering strong capability and accountability across the function.

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in contract management, procurement, legal operations, or related fields
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience leading a diverse team including hiring, coaching and performance management
  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree in field relevant to role (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree), advanced degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in contract lifecycle management, negotiation, and governance practices.
  • Ability to interpret complex contract language and assess risk and compliance implications.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills for resolving contract issues and optimizing outcomes.
  • Experience with contract management systems and tools for tracking, reporting, and documentation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, including engagement with senior leaders.
  • Ability to balance strategic priorities with operational execution in a dynamic environment.

Location: Hillsboro Corporate Office | Hillsboro OR 97124 OR Marlborough Corporate Office | Marlborough, MA 

Target Compensation: $146,500 to 176,000 base pay + Annual Bonus
