The opportunity
The Director of Strategy and Business Operations, People, Place & Culture Ops (PPCO) will partner with the VP of People, Place & Culture Ops and her leadership team to develop, manage and implement key initiatives, operating mechanisms and processes, and lead and scale strategic operations within a complex global HR Operations organization. The PPCO organization includes People Operations, Employee & Labor Relations, Safety & Security, Workplace & Real Estate, Inclusive Experience, Transformation, and People Consulting teams.
The biggest impact will come from a leader who possesses strong business and operating intuition, is a motivational agent of change, and has outstanding program management intuition and skill. The ideal candidate will "roll up" their sleeves to dig into details to assess business needs, identify gaps in strategic operations, and turn problems into prioritized, well-executed programs to drive value. Your prior operating and leadership experience in global, cross-functional and collaborative environments will ensure your success in this dynamic, high-impact position. This position will primarily be focused on partnering with senior leaders across the business.
What you'll do
  • Build and manage the operational cadence for running the PPCO business, drive accountability, and continuous process improvement; ensure and set standard methodologies

  • Work with the cross-Employee Experience (EX) Business Operations team to establish and drive initiatives across several time horizons (i.e. weekly, quarterly, annually & and multi-year/strategic-planning)

  • Business performance: drive cadence for prep and reviews for quarterly progress towards achievements, including quarterly communication updates, to multiple levels within the organization.

  • Serve as thought partner, informing and influencing points of view of key senior partners

  • Drive and provide programmatic support, accountability and ownership for key initiatives within PPCO and with key partners across the EX organization

  • Partner with EX Communications to ensure clear and consistent roll-outs of programs and processes

  • Build effective, trusting business relationships across the organization to support Adobe's strategic business direction in alignment with Adobe's Core Values

  • Partner with Centers of Excellence and functional partners to drive initiatives including alignment of resources to the top priorities in service to the stated vision and strategy

What you need to succeed
  • 10+ years of shown experience in strategic operational roles, partnering directly with senior leaders

  • BA or BS degree in a related field; HR experience required

  • Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and through tools like PowerPoint

  • Extraordinary ability to program manage across complex operations

  • Critical thinking skills and able to take sizable problems and break them into small meaningful pieces as well as being able to apply data to derive insights from metrics

  • Comfort with ambiguity, a can-do attitude and attention to operational details

  • Ability to develop relationships and partnerships (internal and external) at all levels of the organization, exhibit strong leadership and influencing skills, and design, implement, and lead change management initiatives

  • Ability to learn, grow and take on expanded duties as business needs evolve

  • Excellent meeting design and facilitation skills

  • Superb judgment and integrity, including excellent decision-making skills and a sense of urgency

Expected Pay Range:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $151,800 -- $298,150 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
In California, the pay range for this position is $205,900 - $298,150
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
