Senior Director, Strategy & Operations - Digital Sales

Position Summary

ADP is seeking a Senior Director, Strategy & Operations - Digital Sales to serve as a strategic advisor and operational leader supporting the Sr. Division Vice President, WWCO Digital Sales.

This highly visible role will partner directly with the Sr. DVP and leadership teams across all Digital Sales business units to shape business strategy, establish organizational priorities, drive operational excellence, and ensure successful execution of key growth initiatives. The position serves as a critical bridge between strategy development and execution, helping lead the organization's most important business priorities.

The Senior Director will be responsible for identifying strategic opportunities, recommending business priorities, facilitating executive decision-making, and leading cross-functional initiatives across Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, Product, Technology, Enablement, and Operations. Success in this role requires the ability to influence senior leaders, drive alignment across multiple organizations, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

This role operates as a key member of the Digital Sales leadership team and serves as a trusted advisor to the Sr. DVP, WWCO Digital Sales.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Executive Partnership

  • Serve as the primary Strategy & Operations partner and trusted advisor to the Sr. DVP, WWCO Digital Sales.
  • Partner with senior leadership to define strategic priorities, operating objectives, and growth initiatives across the Digital Sales organization.
  • Lead annual planning, quarterly business reviews, operating reviews, and strategic planning processes.
  • Evaluate market trends, business performance, competitive dynamics, and growth opportunities to recommend strategic actions.
  • Develop executive-level recommendations and business cases to support decision-making and resource allocation.

Strategy Development & Execution

  • Identify, prioritize, and lead execution of strategic initiatives that support revenue growth, productivity improvement, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Translate business priorities into actionable execution plans with clear accountability, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
  • Drive alignment across stakeholders and business units to ensure successful implementation of key initiatives.
  • Establish governance frameworks that track progress and drive accountability for organizational priorities.
  • Serve as the central coordination point for enterprise initiatives impacting Digital Sales.

Cross-Business Unit Leadership

  • Partner with leaders across all Digital Sales business units to ensure alignment on strategic priorities and operational objectives.
  • Facilitate collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, HR, Technology, Enablement, and Operations.
  • Drive consistency in execution, communication, and accountability across the organization.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the delivery of high-impact business initiatives.
  • Remove barriers and resolve conflicts to accelerate progress against organizational goals.

Business Performance & Analytics

  • Own the business performance management framework for Digital Sales.
  • Develop executive dashboards, scorecards, performance reviews, and operating metrics.
  • Analyze performance trends and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and productivity improvements through data-driven insights.
  • Support forecasting, capacity planning, organizational planning, and investment decisions.

Transformation & Innovation

  • Lead transformation initiatives focused on business growth, seller productivity, customer acquisition, process optimization, and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate and implement innovative solutions, including AI-enabled technologies and automation opportunities.
  • Partner with stakeholders to modernize processes, improve effectiveness, and enhance organizational performance.
  • Champion continuous improvement across the Digital Sales organization.

Organizational Effectiveness

  • Partner with leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and operational effectiveness initiatives.
  • Support talent development, succession planning, and leadership effectiveness efforts.
  • Drive change management initiatives associated with strategic business priorities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop Strategy & Operations team members and project teams.
  • Influence senior leaders and stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Build strong partnerships across all levels of the organization.
  • Serve as a role model for ADP values and leadership behaviors.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • A college degree is nice to have, but not required. What's more important is having the skills to do the job. Other forms of acceptable experience include:
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategy, operations, sales leadership, consulting, business management, or related disciplines.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and organizational change efforts.
  • Demonstrated success supporting executive-level leaders and driving strategic business outcomes.
  • Strong analytical, planning, communication, and executive presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders across multiple organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a senior executive in a Strategy, Operations, Chief of Staff, Sales Operations, or Business Management capacity.
  • Experience within a digital sales, inside sales, or high-growth sales environment.
  • Strong financial acumen, forecasting, workforce planning, and business modeling experience.
  • Experience leading business transformation and AI-enabled initiatives.
  • Proven ability to drive alignment and execution across multiple business units and functions.
