Job Summary

Green Dot Corporation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Platform Team, contributing to the development of scalable, secure, and resilient systems that support core platform services and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in platform engineering and cloud‑native architectures, working closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop backend services and APIs to support platform operations, including release engineering, DevOps pipelines, and system integrations.
  • Contribute to improvements in CI/CD workflows, observability, and platform reliability.
  • Collaborate with QA, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure seamless deployment and performance of platform tools.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure SLA adherence and rapid incident response.
  • Participate in engineering best practices and knowledge sharing across the platform domain.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Languages: Proficiency in C#.
  • Architecture: Strong understanding of RESTful API design, OAuth2, and microservices architecture.
  • Cloud: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/AKS preferred), Azure Cosmo DB with AI Search, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
  • DevOps: Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.
  • Containers & Observability: Knowledge of container orchestration, release automation, and platform observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Excellent communication skills for cross‑team collaboration.

Contract and Pay

Regular PAY RANGE: The targeted base salary for this position is $121,400 to $173,300 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
