Job Summary:

J.D. Power is a global leader in consumer insights, advisory services and data and analytics. The Auto Planner EU/ EU Data Products Portfolio Director will execute the product roadmap and deliver new products and enhancements while collaborating with various teams to understand customer needs and define solution approaches.

Responsibilities:

• Support the SVP of Product by executing the product roadmap and delivering new products and enhancements

• Working with various teams to understand customer needs

• Collaborating on product pricing strategies

• Defining solution approaches and accountability for estimates by integrating supporting data sets and identifying new technologies

• Working with technology partners on new initiatives and solving industry business problems

• Managing and motivating a team of Product Managers, Product Analysts, UX Designers and allocated development resources

• Interfacing with and guiding highly technical teams

• Communicating complex technical solutions to a business and/or functional audience

• Directing findings into building new products that solve customer problems

• Creating, launching and managing complex, data-driven sets that power web and mobile enabled products and applications

• Measuring and adapting product development against expanding and evolving priorities

• Transitioning product vision to tangible product definition and requirements

• Evaluating, prototyping, and recommending new technologies and frameworks

• Creating solutioning documentation including BRD and Wireframes

Qualifications:

Required:

• An understanding of the European auto industry’s marketplace dynamics is ideal.

• Vehicle data Subject Matter Expert and deep experience with automotive websites is also ideal.

• 8 to 10 years of experience working with data services and applications is a must.

• 3 to 5 years of experience with EU automotive data.

• Ability to manage and motivate a team of Product Managers, Product Analysts, UX Designers and allocated development resources to identify and create solutions to solve a business problem(s).

• Proven experience interfacing with and guiding highly technical teams and capable of communicating complex technical solutions to a business and/or functional audience is a major plus.

• Analytical, logical and can work with vast data sets surrounding consumer engagement, interactions and needs. Capable of directing all findings into building new products that solve customer (and prospects) ‘problems’, fulfill customer needs and create value for the customer, all of which contribute to the customer’s core business needs.

• Proven success with creating, launching and managing complex, data-driven sets that power web and mobile enabled products and applications. Preferably automotive data in the EU related offerings focused on digital retail and desking solutions.

• Proven success with data integration and data syndication initiatives.

• Has the experience of working with technical resources such as engineering teams to know when to compromise, when not to compromise and how to demonstrate respect for the challenges technical teams experience during product development and product releases.

• Ability to optimize product decisions on multiple concurrent products in ideation and/or in flight as well as measure and adapt product development against expanding and evolving priorities to ensure major opportunities are not missed.

• Ability to self-start and take initiative.

• Ability to transition product vision to tangible product definition and requirements focused on delivering revenue generating products for the company.

• Experience with technology services and solutions preferably for the automotive industry.

• Capable of evaluating, prototyping, and recommending new technologies and frameworks to both business and product development teams.

• Experience with solutioning documentation including BRD and Wireframes etc.
