The Opportunity
As a Banking & Capital Markets Tax Director, you will focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. You will help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimize their tax positions. As a Director, you will set the strategic direction and lead business development efforts. You will make impactful decisions and oversee multiple projects, maintaining executive-level client relations. Translating the vision, you set the tone and inspire others to follow. Your role is crucial in driving business growth, shaping the direction of client engagements, and mentoring the next generation of leaders.
In this role within our Tax practice, you will review and analyze financial data, prepare and file tax returns, and assist businesses in meeting their tax obligations while minimizing risks of non-compliance. You are expected to be a guardian of PwC's reputation, understanding that quality, integrity, inclusion, and a commercial mindset are all foundational to our success. You create a healthy working environment while maximizing client satisfaction. You cultivate the potential in others and actively team across the PwC Network, understanding tradeoffs, and leveraging our collective strength.
Responsibilities
- Leading tax compliance efforts for banking and capital markets clients, confirming adherence to complex regulations
- Developing strategic tax planning initiatives to optimize client tax positions and minimize risks of non-compliance
- Overseeing the preparation and filing of tax returns, validating accuracy and compliance with current tax laws
- Analyzing financial data to identify trends and opportunities for tax strategy improvements
- Collaborating with executive-level clients to shape engagements and drive business growth
- Mentoring and guiding teams in the execution of tax compliance and planning projects
- Promoting innovation and creativity in developing new tax solutions and structures
- Cultivating relationships across the PwC Network to leverage collective strengths and maximize client satisfaction
- Identifying market gaps and converting opportunities into successful outcomes for the firm
- Upholding professional and technical standards, including adherence to PwC's code of conduct and independence requirements
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 8 years of experience
- At least one of the following: Certified Public Accountant, Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity

The salary range for this position is: $150,000 - $438,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
