Job Description
TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full-time permanent opportunity specializing in Orthopedic Joint Surgery in the Raleigh and Wendell Falls, North Carolina area. This role offers a balanced combination of outpatient clinic, OR, and inpatient rounding responsibilities within a collaborative orthopedic practice.
Position Highlights

Outpatient orthopedic clinic, surgical OR, and inpatient rounding
Adults 18+
Approximately 25-35 patients per day
50% OR / 50% clinic
Weekly inpatient rounding, approximately 10%
Start Date: October 1
Practice Environment
Multi-location orthopedic practice
Collaborative team including orthopedic surgeons and APPs
Imaging and outpatient surgical services available
Independent clinic practice with shared physician support
Athena EMR
Ultrasound experience preferred but not required
BLS required
No telehealth
Schedule
Monday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Tuesday: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Wednesday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Thursday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Approximately 2.5 clinic days and 2.5 OR days per week
1.5 clinic days per week in North Raleigh
1 clinic day per week in Wendell Falls
Travel between locations is required
No weekend or holiday rotation
Call Responsibilities
Office call approximately every 10 weeks
Call period: Sunday 8:00 PM - Monday 8:00 AM
Calls are screened by an on-call service
Provider returns patient calls only
No hospital consults
No in-office visits during call
Average of approximately 5 calls per call week
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide orthopedic patient care in the outpatient clinic
Assist with joint surgery procedures in the OR
Participate in inpatient rounding
Evaluate and manage orthopedic patients
Coordinate care with orthopedic surgeons and other members of the clinical team
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Provide appropriate post-operative and follow-up care
Requirements
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Board Certification required
Active or eligible North Carolina licensure
BLS certification required
Orthopedic experience preferred
New graduates considered
Ultrasound experience preferred but not required
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with orthopedic surgeons and APPs
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $115,000-$140,000, depending on experience
Quarterly bonus based on clinic and OR collections
Typical annual bonus of approximately $6,000-$10,000
