Overview
Advance student potential-and your own-as you collaborate with the teacher to work with small groups of students in delivering individualized services and support. Realize the joy of possibility as you monitor student behavior, track educational progress, communicate with parents, and reinforce learning and skills through our proven model.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Instructional Coaching and Staff Development
o Provide coaching and modeling to certified staff to enhance instructional quality
and student engagement.
o Mentor DSAP teachers and ensure they are supported in their professional
development and compliance expectations.
o Offer targeted support to LTS teachers to ensure instructional consistency during
vacancies or transitions.
o Provide real-time feedback and support to Assistant Teachers (ATs) and 1:1
instructional staff.
2. Instructional Coverage and Continuity
o Model effective instructional strategies in the classroom for teachers, with a
particular focus on supporting LTS staff.
o Serve as the lead teacher when a classroom vacancy exists, ensuring instructional
plans are followed and student needs are met.
o Assist in lesson planning and delivery aligned with individualized education
program (IEP) goals and academic standards.
3. Assessment and Compliance Support
o Support administration of all state and internal company assessments.
o Assist with student performance data collection and analysis to inform instruction
and IEP development.
o Ensure ACI and SPC (formerly CASE) documentation and responsibilities are
completed in collaboration with the School Director. Step in to support and / or
complete as needed.
o Monitor and promote instructional practices that align with compliance
expectations under state guidelines and outplacement policies.
4. Leadership and Program Support
o Support instructional leadership at up to three school sites
o Work onsite each day according to a Regional Director-approved schedule to
provide consistent, hands-on support.
Collaborate with school teams and leadership to strengthen instructional programs
and ensure regulatory and programmatic compliance.
5. Professional Collaboration and Communication
o Collaborate with staff, families, and service providers to support student
achievement.
o Participate in team meetings, instructional leadership meetings, and staff
professional development.
o Communicate regularly with the School Director regarding programmatic needs
and progress.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Master's degree in special education required (valid teaching certification in lieu of an advanced degree).
• Valid teaching certification required.
• Demonstrated success in instructional coaching or staff mentoring roles.
• Knowledge of state and federal special education laws (e.g., IDEA, Section 504).
• Experience with data-driven instruction, assessment practices, and compliance
documentation
Posted Salary Range
USD $45,000.00 - USD $55,000.00 /Yr.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to run short distances and move swiftly in response to student needs, including bending, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Ability to lift and assist students with mobility challenges, often requiring the handling of up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Skill in managing fine motor tasks, such as helping students with writing, manipulating small objects, or using adaptive devices.
  • Ability to operate a computer or tablet for up to 8 hours daily.
  • Capacity to notice and respond to non-verbal cues from students
  • Capacity to remain calm and composed during physically and emotional demanding situations, ensuring student safety and well-being
