Job description

Early Childhood Special Education Coordinator (TOSA) 
MAPS Center for Learning

A position as an ECSE Coordinator (TOSA) is available at MAPS Center for Learning for the 2026-27 school year.
Summary of Duties:

  • Provide compliance oversight and support for building-level early childhood special education programming, specifically due process reviews
  • Support the intake process and placement of new students in early learning building
  • Facilitate department meetings
  • Serve as administrative designee for IEP meetings
  • Support Sped Forms maintenance, including organizational changes and system-level updates.
  • Collaborate with building teams and related service providers (e.g., school psychologists, assessment specialists, program supervisors) to ensure procedural fidelity.
  • Assist with master scheduling and service coordination at the building level.
  • Maintain communication with families and staff regarding due process.
     


Requirements:

  • Early Childhood Special Education teaching experience.
  • Knowledgeable in due process and special education compliance, and have demonstrated consistent due process compliance with current caseload
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain either a valid special education teaching license, or a school psychologist, or a school counselor, or related service provider
  • Must be able to speak before groups of people with poise, voice control, and confidence
  • Strong interpersonal relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forms
     


Qualifications:

Salary Range:
$51,028 - $93,287 (based on the MTA salary schedule).
