Compensation: Commensurate with experience between $25 to $30 per hour
Position Type: Non-Bargaining, full-time, eligible for district benefits, grant funded by Title I Grant
Reports To: Building Principal and/or Director of Special Education
Position Summary:
The Behavior Coach supports the academic and social-emotional success of students in grades K 5 by promoting positive behavior, providing staff coaching, and assisting with the implementation of evidence-based behavioral practices. This role focuses on building staff capacity through coaching and modeling, while supporting students with behavioral needs within a PBIS and MTSS framework.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or related field
  • Valid Ohio license or ability to obtain appropriate licensure
  • Experience working with students with behavioral needs

Preferred:
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Training in PBIS, MTSS, or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
  • Experience with FBAs, BIPs, and behavior data collection
  • CPI or crisis intervention training

Employees must follow all board policies, all state, and federal laws, and adhere to the Ohio Code of Ethics set up by the Ohio Department of Education. Subject to all applicable laws, essential job functions of this position include the employee being punctual and capable of completing all of the duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
The successful candidate must complete the annual required compliance training as assigned by the administration.
