Job description

Blink UX is a trusted partner to some of the world's most forward-thinking companies, helping them create digital products and experiences that people love. We're growing fast-and we're looking for a high-performing, hunter-minded Director of Client Relations to help us accelerate that growth.
Have you served as a Trusted Advisor to executive stakeholders at Fortune 500 Clients? Do you have deep connections with Big Tech organizations? A relationship builder? A Strategic Connector?
This role is for someone who thrives on both serving as a trusted advisor to client executives, while evaluating their needs, guiding conversations about how Blink can address them, and helping shape and sell foundational engagements with new clients. You'll serve as the face of Blink to new clients and, with our Mphasis colleagues, qualify business opportunities, contribute to crafting compelling narratives around our research and design services, and drive revenue through consultative selling.
What you'll be doing:
  • New Business Development: Prospect, pitch, and close enterprise accounts that align with Blink's ideal client profiles and which create new logos for Blink.
  • Strategic Sales Planning: Build and execute a targeted outreach strategy, set aggressive sales goals, and track performance.
  • Client Advisory and Engagement: Establish trust with senior decision-makers and Mphasis partners to define Blink's value proposition, navigate complex matrixed sales channels and procurement processes, and drive revenues at scale.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional SMEs: Partner with Blink's UX researchers, designers, and strategists, Mphasis Sector, Account, and Solutions teams to define and deliver tailored, high-impact solutions.
  • Pipeline Management: Own the full sales cycle-from lead generation and opportunity qualification to signed contracts.
  • Storytelling & Positioning: Communicate Blink's offerings with clarity, confidence, and relevance to each client's business needs.
  • Market Awareness: Stay sharp on industry trends and bring fresh, innovative opportunities to the table.

What we are looking for:
  • 7-10+ years of experience in business development or client acquisition, ideally in UX, design, or innovation consulting.
  • Proven success in landing enterprise clients (Fortune 500 and Big Tech verticals) and navigating complex sales cycles in both direct and partner-related opportunities.
  • Proven success in managing a client portfolio of over $5 million in consulting fees per year.
  • A hunter's mindset-self-motivated, persistent, and energized by new opportunities.
  • Prior experience working in an integrated business or technology firm which has acquired strategic design consulting services. Collaboration with technology partners in sales and delivery of complex digital transformations, a plus.
  • Expertise in digital product and service design, sales, and delivery.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a talent for storytelling.
  • Strategic thinking with a bias for action and results.
  • A values-driven approach to client engagement- consultative, authentic, curious, and collaborative.
  • Exceptional judgment in terms of the qualification of business opportunities.
  • Experience selling across industries on a global scale. Depth of experience in specific sectors is a plus.
  • A collaborative spirit and a passion for solving client challenges with smart, human-centered solutions.
  • A deep appreciation for the value of UX and a desire to stay ahead of industry trends. Prior experience as a research, strategy, or design practitioner, a plus.
  • Tech-savvy with an interest in emerging technologies, particularly AI.
  • A thought leader with referenceable experience in discussing or teaching topics related to research, digital product strategy, design, AI, or other relevant issues.
