Job description

Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering novel therapeutics for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), a serious liver disease that can progress to cirrhosis, liver failure, need for liver transplantation and premature mortality. Madrigal's medication, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), is a once-daily, oral, liver-directed THR-ฮฒ agonist designed to target key underlying causes of MASH. Rezdiffra is the first and only medication approved by both the FDA and European Commission for the treatment of MASH with moderate to advanced fibrosis (F2 to F3). An ongoing Phase 3 outcomes trial is evaluating Rezdiffra for the treatment of compensated MASH cirrhosis (F4c).

The Director, Marketing Operations will be a critical member of the US Marketing and Commercial organizations who will help build the future of Madrigal. This is truly a unique opportunity to make a difference for the betterment of patients living with MASH. This individual will ultimately be responsible for leading and managing workstreams focused on operational systems, platforms and processes to support Promotional Material Review (PRC), print operations, digital infrastructure, field communications, process improvement, budget, and more.
PRC (Promotional Review Committee) Operations:
  • As PRC Process Coordinator, responsible for day-to-day promotional review committee (PRC) operations such as scheduling and facilitating PRC meetings, managing PRC processes and Veeva workflows (submissions, QC, approvals, expirations, reporting), conducting PRC onboarding/training, etc.
  • Perform quality control (QC) checks on all materials prior to PRC submission to ensure completeness, accuracy, and readiness
  • Ensure QC reflects prior reviewer comments and required updates
  • Partner with PRC Chair to prioritize submissions, set the PRC agenda and align timelines with business needs
  • Support regulatory operations and promotional material submissions to FDA/OPDP (2253 and subpart H preclearance)
  • Track material lifecycle including approvals, re-approvals, expirations, and archiving
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and processes

Marketing Operations:
  • Involvement with other critical operational workstreams may include (but not limited to) print vendor and fulfillment, congress/conference management, budget management and field collaboration support
  • Partner with IT, CSO and Procurement to manage the implementation of existing and new systems, platforms, and processes to support cross-functional teams and drive innovative marketing capabilities while proactively identifying opportunities to drive efficiencies and effectiveness as the business evolves
  • Responsible for helping elevate, oversee, and continuously improve the marketing operations function; identify workflow bottlenecks and lead process improvement initiatives
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to address challenges and recommend enhancements
  • Effectively collaborate to ensure alignment and success with cross-functional partners including Medical, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, IT, CSO, Field Teams, Market Access, Agencies, Vendors, etc.
  • Manage multiple vendor and agency partners to drive critical workstreams forward, ensure appropriate resource allocation and timely delivery within financial constraints
  • Ensure consistency and compliance across operational processes

  • Limited travel- up to 25% of the time (including weekends as needed)
  • Required to be in office 3 days per week (Conshohocken, PA or Waltham, MA)

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree, Master's degree preferred
  • Candidate must have 12-15+ years of biopharmaceutical marketing and/or operations experience
  • Must have direct experience with promotional review committee operations and Veeva PromoMats
  • Experience with omnichannel marketing execution, including Sales Force Marketing Cloud, media placements and asset taxonomy is a plus
  • 2+ years of experience in project management
  • Experience successfully leading marketing operations during time of product launch or in a growing organization
  • Experience in smaller company (or team) environments is a plus

Base salary is determined by several factors including the candidate's qualifications, skills, education, experience, business needs and market demands. As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position, applicable to all candidates, is $214,000 - $261,000 per year. We comply with all applicable minimum wage laws.
