New Center Opening – Bastrop, TX
Build and Lead a Brand-New Childcare Center
The Learning Experience is opening a new early childhood education center in Bastrop, TX, and we're looking for an experienced Child Care Center Director to help bring our school to life. Experienced Assistant Directors ready to take the next step in their leadership career are encouraged to apply if they meet Texas Director qualifications.
This is a unique opportunity to build your team, establish center culture, welcome our first families, and lead a new school from the ground up. You'll combine your early childhood education experience with leadership and business management to create a center where children, families, and teachers thrive.
We're looking for a hands-on childcare leader who enjoys developing teachers, building relationships with families, growing enrollment, and creating a positive, high-performing school culture.
What You'll Do
Build and Develop Your Team
· Recruit, hire, onboard, coach, and retain a high-performing team of early childhood educators
· Establish a positive and collaborative culture from opening day
· Coach teachers through classroom observations, feedback, and professional development
· Develop future leaders and promote employee engagement and retention
Lead Center Operations
· Oversee the daily operations of a licensed childcare center
· Maintain compliance with Texas Child Care Regulation requirements and company standards
· Manage staffing, scheduling, classroom ratios, and operational readiness
· Create a safe, welcoming, and high-quality environment for children and families
Grow Enrollment and Family Relationships
· Conduct center tours and build relationships with prospective families
· Drive enrollment growth and family retention
· Develop strong partnerships within the Bastrop community
· Support local marketing, community events, and enrollment initiatives
Champion Educational Quality
· Lead implementation of The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P.® Curriculum
· Coach teachers on developmentally appropriate classroom practices
· Maintain high standards for curriculum implementation and classroom quality
Drive Business Performance
· Monitor enrollment, staffing, labor, and center performance metrics
· Support payroll, accounts receivable, budgeting, and financial performance
· Develop action plans to achieve enrollment and operational goals
· Partner with ownership and TLE support teams to successfully launch and grow the center
What We're Looking For
· Previous leadership experience in a licensed childcare center, preschool, daycare, or early childhood education program
· Experience as a Center Director, Assistant Director, Education Director, or similar childcare leadership role strongly preferred
· Must meet Texas Child Care Regulation requirements applicable to the Center Director position
· Strong knowledge of early childhood education, licensing, health, and safety standards
· Experience recruiting, coaching, and developing teachers
· Ability to build relationships with families and support enrollment growth
· Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
· Comfortable using technology to support staffing, enrollment, reporting, and center operations
