Summary of Position

The Field Service Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment providing a range of installations, training, quality control, and technical support for new store construction, store upgrades, rollouts, and break-fix service in support of multiple clients across Telaid’s full client list. This role is responsible for the overall quality control of service, installations, regional rollouts, and break-fix service through on-site involvement on projects. The Field Service Supervisor will serve as a key interface with clients in their assigned region and will be expected to exercise strong judgment, resolve issues at the lowest level, and escalate as needed to ensure client satisfaction. After-hours project coverage and travel are required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Quality Control & Training

  • Conduct field quality control inspections, audits, and surveys to ensure customer specifications are achieved, client satisfaction is maintained, and deliverables meet compliance standards.
  • Perform QC across multiple client accounts — a key requirement of this role.
  • Train technicians and subcontractors on theory, practices, and client-specific product and system knowledge, including on-site training during cut overs.

Project & Field Operations

  • Conduct on-site field surveys at customer premises to scope work as needed.
  • Provide project management oversight in the field during service, major projects, and rollouts.
  • Perform installation and service work on customer sites based on project schedule.
  • Work with the PMO and Director of Field Services on Statements of Work (SOWs), project validation, and implementation planning to deliver projects on or below budget.
  • Participate in costing and estimating of projects with the PMO, Director of Field Services, and estimating team.
  • Provide regular, timely updates to the PMO and Service Delivery.
  • Help manage and validate project hours.
  • Serve as the technical liaison and point of escalation for clients in your assigned region; resolve issues at the lowest level and escalate to Directors and PMs as required.

Administration & Team Management

  • Participate in team meetings and performance reviews.
  • Complete timesheets on a daily basis.
  • Keep direct report technicians on track.
  • Maintain up-to-date certifications.
  • Assist PMO with manuals and BOMs.
  • Maintain company vehicle and other assigned equipment.
  • Vet and onboard business partners in coordination with the Partner Support Team.
  • Support the Director of Field Services with staffing plans and the hiring of technicians.
  • Interview and validate subcontractors; assist in the interviewing and hiring of direct field technicians.
  • Supervise direct technicians and subcontractors.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned by management.


Skills and Personal Attributes

Technical / Hard Skills

  • Hands-on experience across multiple low-voltage disciplines including Voice & Data, CCTV, Security, Fire, Burg, and structured cabling.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and multiple types of industry products and certifications.
  • Understanding of large systems design, layouts, and install development techniques.
  • Proficiency in project management processes and tools; experience with ServiceNow or similar platforms a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret SOWs, BOMs, project documentation, and technical drawings.
  • Strong business writing skills for client-facing and internal communication.

Soft Skills / Personal Attributes

  • Self-starter with strong initiative and problem-solving skills; able to run field projects with minimal direction.
  • Excellent customer communication and rapport-building skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and plan ahead.

  • Flexibility to work outside normal scheduled hours and willingness to travel up to 40% (U.S. only).


Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on field experience across multiple low-voltage skill sets (Voice & Data, CCTV, Security, Fire, Burg, and/or Cabling), and/or cabling project management experience.
  • Proven experience directing large-scale jobs, managing projects, and coordinating field engineering activities.
  • Demonstrated market understanding and install development techniques.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related technical or business field preferred.
  • Relevant licenses or certifications (e.g., BICSI, low-voltage, security systems) preferred and must be maintained.


Additional Requirements

  • Regular travel to client sites and project locations required
  • Must be available for after-hours project coverage as needed.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks in the field, including lifting and installing equipment.
  • Must be able to safely lift 50lbs, climb ladders, bend, stand, kneel for extended periods
  • Valid driver’s license required.
