Senior Proposal Manager

Rolfson Oil

Addison, TX โ€ข On-site

Job description

Rolfson Oil, a Trive Capital portfolio company, is North Americaโ€™s largest oilfield-only fueling provider โ€” $1B+ in revenue across the Permian, Bakken, MidCon, Powder River, and Haynesville basins, growing rapidly through acquisition.

The job, in plain terms

Rolfson's Critical Infrastructure Division keeps power flowing and fuel moving for customers who can't afford downtime โ€” oil field operations and data center / hyperscale clients. The EVP runs fast: customer relationships, a growing pipeline of opportunities, and the day-to-day on top of it. This role is his right hand. Day to day, you'll run his world โ€” calendar, travel, inbox, and the details that can't slip. In parallel, you'll take ownership of the proposal and opportunity pipeline, writing and managing the commercial documents that win work. As the division grows, you'll help build โ€” and eventually help lead โ€” the Opportunities team. It starts hands-on and scales with you.

What you'll own

โ€ข Run the EVP's day: calendar, travel, inbox, and gatekeeping โ€” anticipate needs, protect his time, make sure nothing slips.

โ€ข Own the proposal and opportunity pipeline: draft, structure, and manage commercial proposals and RFP responses for power and fuel-reliability solutions.

โ€ข Translate technical power and fuel detail into clear, persuasive, customer-facing language.

โ€ข Build and maintain trackers, an opportunity/deal pipeline, dashboards, and SOPs.

โ€ข Coordinate across customers, partners, and internal teams โ€” clear, direct, no noise.

โ€ข Grow into building and eventually leading the Opportunities team as the division scales.

What we're looking for

โ€ข Executive-grade organization and reliability โ€” you can own an EVP's calendar, travel, and inbox and let nothing slip.

โ€ข Sharp, persuasive commercial writing โ€” you can turn technical detail into a clean proposal or a two-line answer, whichever the moment needs.

โ€ข Genuine comfort with urgency; you prioritize well and stay steady when several things break at once.

โ€ข Strong Excel/Sheets โ€” you build the tracker and the pipeline, you don't wait for one.

โ€ข An independent operator's mindset: give you the goal and the constraints, and you run.

Bonus points

โ€ข Background in power/energy, distributed generation, energy markets (ERCOT), oil & gas or oil-field services, data center / hyperscale, or midstream.

โ€ข Experience writing proposals or managing an opportunity/deal pipeline.

โ€ข You've supported a senior executive or run a chief-of-staff function before.

โ€ข You want to grow into building and leading a team.

This job is not for you ifโ€ฆ

โ€ข You need detailed instructions and steady reassurance to move.

โ€ข Tight deadlines and shifting priorities stress you out.

โ€ข You prefer formal corporate process over getting the thing done.

โ€ข โ€œThat's not in my job descriptionโ€ is a sentence you say.
