Position Overview
International Motors is seeking an innovative and strategic Associate Director, Digital Engineering to lead the engineering teams responsible for delivering and supporting critical digital platforms that power our customers, dealers, operations, and enterprise business capabilities.
This highly visible leadership role combines technology strategy, engineering leadership, organizational development, and digital transformation. The successful candidate will lead multiple engineering disciplines while defining the future architecture, modernization strategy, and technology roadmap for a portfolio of applications and platforms.
As a leader within our Digital Engineering organization, you will help shape the next generation of customer, dealer, sales, service, and operational solutions while building a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Associate Director, Digital Engineering is responsible for building organizational capability, developing talent, improving engineering maturity, and ensuring teams possess the skills necessary to support current and future technology needs.
Strategic Technology Leadership
  • Define and execute the technology strategy and roadmap for a portfolio of critical applications and digital platforms.
  • Drive modernization initiatives focused on cloud adoption, APIs, platform scalability, automation, and operational excellence.
  • Partner with business, digital and technology leaders to align technology investments with strategic business objectives.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and establish long-term architectural direction.
  • Balance customer needs, business priorities, technical debt, security requirements, and platform sustainability.

Digital Engineering Leadership
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional digital engineering teams responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting applications.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of application architecture and overall solution development.
  • Partner with engineering teams to develop and implement a robust set of services, APIs, integrations, and reusable components that power digital products and business capabilities.
  • Drive adoption of modern engineering practices including Agile delivery, DevOps, CI/CD automation, observability, automated testing, and platform reliability engineering.
  • Establish technical standards, architecture governance, development frameworks, and engineering best practices.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 9 years of information systems/information technology experience
  • At least 5 years of management experience
