Overview

The Business Resilience Manager reports to the Chief Risk Officer. The Business Resilience Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's Business Resiliency program including Crisis Management, Cyber Response, Business Continuity (and supporting vendors), as well as tracking and reporting on Disaster Recovery activities. The focus of this position will be to build business resiliency to current and future threats to protect the viability and sustainability of operations. The position supports all activities necessary to enable effective responses to both planned and unplanned business interruptions. This position supports all activities for the development, testing, maintenance of all Business Resilience plans, and documentation, and ensures key stakeholders have appropriate training and support to execute their plans.
Hiring Range: $134,664 - $149,495
Salary Range: $134,664 - $160,623

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the program manager for achieving business resiliency objectives in all critical business functions.
  • Partner with IT to design, facilitate and maintain cybersecurity plans, documents and processes to proactively position the organization for resiliency.
  • Provide leadership during data breach incidents.
  • Conduct Business Impact Analysis.
  • Incorporate vendor management risks in business resiliency planning and Third-Party Risk Assessments
  • Support the Business Resilience team during planned and unplanned business interruptions, system outages, natural disasters, and other significant emergency management situations.
  • Develop a close working relationship with IT; liaison between business operations and technical functions, to ensure sufficient Disaster Recovery practices based upon business requirements and recovery strategies.
  • Develops close working relationship with Administration, to liaison on joint plan development, maintenance and testing: Emergency Response, Workplace Violence, etc.
  • Regularly leads table-top training and other exercises to ensure employee readiness for multiple potential business interruption scenarios.
  • Proactively perform ongoing risk analyses to identify critical points of vulnerability and external emerging risks and implement disaster avoidance and risk reduction strategies accordingly.
  • Inspire action and collaboration beyond the role's direct scope of authority to achieve organizational goals.
  • Lead the development of metrics, service level agreements, and regular reporting on the current state of the Business Resiliency program.
  • Design, develop, and maintain plans for the business resiliency program, as well as manage vendors & tools.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current with external professional development and best practices.

Qualifications
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience leading Business and IT resiliency programs and projects.
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience.
  • Must be able to effectively lead work groups and teams under high pressure during a crisis event.
  • Must be able to work under general direction and guidance.
  • Understanding of business and system operations and the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Must be able to generate reports and metrics.
  • Ability to manage external vendor relationships
  • Ability to track KPIs in relation to Disaster Recovery: keeping departments accountable, making sure SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) are comprehensive, etc.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of success in Business Resilience program leadership roles.
  • Relevant certifications (CBRM - Certified Business Resilience Manager, CBCP - Certified Business Continuity Professional) preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, including video conferencing.
