Job description

Antitrust Of Counsel Attorney

Direct Counsel is seeking an Antitrust Of Counsel to join the nationally recognized Antitrust & Competition practice of a premier Am Law firm. This opportunity is available in Century City, Downtown Los Angeles, Orange County, Palo Alto, San Diego, or San Francisco.

This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated antitrust and competition matters for leading corporations, financial institutions, and other high-profile clients. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in antitrust law, government investigations, enforcement actions, or complex antitrust litigation and will thrive in a collaborative, high-performance environment.

Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on a broad range of antitrust and competition law matters
  • Represent clients in government investigations, internal investigations, and enforcement actions
  • Handle matters involving federal and state antitrust regulators, including interactions with the U.S. Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission
  • Manage and support complex civil antitrust litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • Conduct and oversee discovery, including document review, witness preparation, and deposition strategy
  • Draft and argue pretrial motions, briefs, and other substantive court filings
  • Represent clients in state and federal courts and before regulatory authorities
  • Develop litigation and investigation strategies in collaboration with partners and client teams
  • Work closely with clients on competition-related compliance, risk management, and enforcement issues
Qualifications
  • Significant experience in antitrust and competition law
  • Experience with government investigations, internal investigations, and enforcement proceedings, and/or complex civil antitrust litigation
  • Strong experience handling discovery, motion practice, and complex case management
  • Experience representing clients before federal and state courts as well as government enforcement agencies
  • Excellent legal writing, analytical, advocacy, and communication skills
  • Strong judgment and ability to manage sophisticated matters independently
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Prior federal judicial clerkship experience is preferred
  • Background in economics or a related discipline is preferred
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in California
