Job description

VF Corporation is looking for a highly skilled Antitrust and Regulatory Compliance Counsel to join our Legal team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

Let's talk about the role

This role plays a critical and specialized role in strengthening VFโ€™s global Antitrust Compliance Program, with a primary focus on Europe and close alignment with global initiatives. As a recognized antitrust expert, you will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of VFโ€™s antitrust compliance program framework across EMEA, and act as a key advisor to legal and business stakeholders on competition law risks arising from wholesale and distribution activities.

Alongside this core mandate, you will contribute to VFโ€™s broader global Ethics & Compliance program, supporting the longโ€‘term evolution of the role into a wider Ethics & Compliance leadership position for EMEA and APAC. This role reports to the Vice President, Ethics & Compliance.

Key responsibilities Antitrust Compliance
  • Lead VFโ€™s European Antitrust Compliance Program, ensuring a robust, riskโ€‘based framework aligned with global standards.
  • Serve as the goโ€‘to expert on competition law for EMEA wholesale and distribution activities.

Identify, assess, and mitigate antitrust risks arising from:

  • Distribution models (selective, exclusive, hybrid)
  • Pricing practices, discount policies, and commercial strategies
  • Interactions with wholesalers, retailers, and competitors
  • Provide practical, businessโ€‘oriented advice to legal and commercial teams on complex competition law matters.
  • Design and deliver targeted antitrust trainings (live and online), tailored to business realities.
  • Lead or support internal investigations, dawn raid preparedness, and incident response.
  • Monitor legal developments across jurisdictions and translate them into clear, actionable guidance for stakeholders.
  • Develop and enhance tools, policies, and controls to prevent, detect, and remediate antitrust risks.
Ethics & Compliance
  • Support the broader Ethics & Compliance Program in EMEA and APAC in collaboration with the global team.
  • Contribute to risk assessments, monitoring activities, and compliance governance.

Support implementation of Environmental & Social Responsibility (E&SR) reporting compliance, including:

  • EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)
  • Other ESG disclosure frameworks (e.g., ISSBโ€‘aligned regimes)
  • Act as a bridge between compliance and business teams, ensuring effective communication and escalation of risks.
  • Help adapt and operationalize global compliance initiatives at regional level.
Skills for Success
  • Law degree (European or U.S.). Candidates qualified outside Europe must have a strong, proven track record of advising on European competition law, including practical exposure to EU distribution and antitrust frameworks.
  • Strong and demonstrable expertise in antitrust / competition law (essential).
  • Significant experience advising on distribution, wholesale, and commercial practices from a competition law perspective.
  • Proven ability to translate complex legal concepts into pragmatic, businessโ€‘oriented guidance.
  • Experience designing or managing antitrust compliance programs (training, policies, monitoring, investigations, dawn raids action plans).
  • Understanding of the wholesale ecosystem, including physical and digital distribution channels.
  • Exposure to broader Ethics & Compliance or regulatory compliance areas (e.g., ESG, antiโ€‘corruption, sanctions) is a plus.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Availability to travel (up to 25%).
