Overview
The Sr Manager, Digital Product Solutions demonstrates a strategic mindset in creating the vision and roadmap to transform A-dec Technical Communications, Ordering Systems, and Digital Product Solutions into an organizational Center of Excellence (CoE). Partnering with Marketing and Digital Customer Experience leadership, this role will help develop a continuous improvement culture that enables and drives the Technical Communications, Ordering & Configuration , and Digital Product Solutions organization to new levels of performance.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Guides the Technical Communications team in designing and implementing transformational changes to technical communications processes and capabilities with a focus on digitally transforming the creation of technical communications content using industry standard tools.
  • Drives the strategy for A-dec+ and associated Digital Product Solutions for A-dec customers. This role focuses on the strategic roadmap of applications and mobile solutions our customers use to engage with the physical product. Oversees the business model development and collaborates with the Director of Global Product Management to ensure synergy between physical and digital solutions.
  • Leads the next generation of Ordering and Configuration systems in the A-dec environment.
  • Drives improvement in efficiency and effectiveness with digital solutions with an emphasis on employee development, quality, delivery performance, and productivity/cost metrics.
  • Defines, manages, and communicates the long and short-term strategies for transitioning A-dec Product Development from manual-driven content creation to customer-focused digital content creation.
  • Provides vision, direction, and leadership to the organization on content management systems, processes, and translations; advises & collaborates with those impacted on the content management strategy.
  • Provides vision, direction, and leadership to the transformation of digital product solutions; develops partnerships, strategic vision for use of artificial intelligence, drives the digital product growth and revenue, and reduces costs consumed by manual processes.
  • Creates, manages, and drives to Key Performance Indicators that enable accurate measurements of digital customer delight associated with digital products.
  • Creates a strategic vision and governance for use of Generative Artificial Intelligence to aide and expedite delivery of deliverables.
  • Collaborates and partners with the Director, Product Technology, Sr. Manager, Digital Customer Experience, Sr. Manager of Data, and Director, Information Technology on corporate initiatives that overlap technology and enterprise solutions of complex nature.
  • Ensures that strategic requirements of worldwide employees, customers, dealers, and other support staff are understood and incorporated into digital touchpoints, and those touchpoints are evaluated as required through business cases, customer validation, and appropriate prioritization.
  • Strategically identifies professional services suppliers to create a flexible workforce with enablement of digital transformation concurrently with department-level ongoing activities. Fosters a strategic industry network in the domain to leverage industry best practices for AI, technical communications, ordering & configuration, and connectivity .
  • Develops a capability and talent assessment to drive the noted transformations of digital product solutions with dynamic integration into digital delivery methods (website, mobile applications, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Significant background in digital properties, customer applications, connected products, and associated business models.
  • Exceptional writing abilities, presentation skills, and a strong understanding of the digital space.
  • Able to leverage analytics tools to synthesize insights from large datasets to make informed digital experience content and design improvements.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills with a history of anticipating issues and taking proactive action to develop and implement an appropriate response plan.
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and able to deliver results under pressure and tight deadlines. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and work independently, collaborate with individuals at all levels, and in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of UX methodologies to gather and refine customer requirements, evaluate draft/prototype solutions, and validate UX products.
  • Experience with user testing, gathering customer requirements and making recommendations on product usability and knowledge of general usability principles.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or other relevant discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience managing teams in development of a variety of digital experience areas; ability to create a vision and lead a team including hiring, development, and performance management.
  • 10+ years working in a fast-paced, high-volume digital team for a large corporation or agency; strong cross functional partnership experience.
  • 10+ years of experience working with industry leading content management solutions; high level of experience disseminating such solutions across an organization.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years developing mobile and web applications; demonstrated ability to create associated roadmaps and execute a continuous cadence of value on these platforms for the integration of technical communications content.
  • 5+ years of relevant CPQO experience; demonstrated ability to create dynamic integration of platforms with technical communications.
  • AI Generative Background.
  • Digital Customer Experience Certifications and/or experience.
  • Website or Digital Delivery background.
  • Experience with current project management methodologies and tools that effectively support many simultaneous projects.
