Job description

Job Description
At Fanatics Commerce, we're more than just a leader in licensed sports merchandise - we're a team united by a relentless passion for our fans and a commitment to innovation. We live by our BOLD Leadership principles: We Build Championship Teams, we're Obsessed with Fans, we embrace a Limitless Entrepreneurial Spirit, and we approach every challenge with a Determined and Relentless Mindset. If you're ready to contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced environment that thrives on collaboration and growth, we want you to be part of our team.
Role Overview
Fanatics Commerce is seeking an exceptional, dynamic individual to join our Product Content Marketing team. As part of the PCM team, the Digital Asset Operations Associate works with various business managers, PCM team members and business partners to oversee metadata accuracy, gating compliance, and the on-time release of assets according to Launch timelines. This role bridges the gap between image creation, metadata management, and final asset delivery to internal, wholesale, and partner platforms. This person needs to be a results-oriented, team player with a passion for sports.
How You Will Make an Impact:
  • Ensure all finalized product images are properly distributed to internal systems, wholesale partners, and team shops according to launch timelines and visibility rules.
  • Prioritize and track progress on assigned tasks through internal interfaces based on deadlines.
  • Verify that every image is associated with the correct Item ID, Program Code, Launch Code, and Matrix designation before distribution.
  • Ensure approved assets in DAM have correct folder placement, metadata population, and visibility permissions (Internal, Wholesale, Team Shop, or Early Access).
  • Track and update image statuses, due dates, and metadata fields to maintain real-time accuracy across DACT, Jersey, and Master team workflows.
  • Ensure file naming and output meets project requirements for delivery.
  • Perform routine audits to verify metadata alignment, asset completeness, and proper DAM linking between wholesale and DTC systems.
  • Manage visibility settings for early-access assets, ensuring that embargoed or league-sensitive images remain secure until approved for release.
  • Partner with OS vendors, League Managers, and internal Sales or Brand teams to manage external access and distribution readiness.
  • Shift between multiple workflows to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve image issues and escalate as needed.
  • Regularly communicating status updates around image creation status.

What You Bring to the Team:
  • Have experience in a structured production, marketing operations, or digital content environment.
  • Have experience managing large volumes of digital assets and metadata.
  • Possess working knowledge of DAM systems (Widen, Orange Logic, or equivalent).
  • Have familiarity with Airtable or other workflow/project management tools.
  • Have experience with Launch Planners, Matrix codes, or structured metadata models.
  • Understand wholesale vs DTC distribution, access gating, and image lifecycle management.
  • Are comfortable handling large data sets, metadata fields, and cross-system updates.
  • Proficient in Airtable, Excel/Sheets, and DAM upload workflows.
  • Can work effectively across multiple teams, departments, and vendor groups.
  • Understand and enforce image gating, embargo rules, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Have experience with shifting priorities, live event timelines, and evolving processes.
  • Can work effectively with senior level management, providing strategic thinking and ideas.
  • Thrive under pressure with concurrent and/or conflicting deadlines
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Are comfortable working in both independent and cross-functional team settings

Education and Experience:
  • BA/BS preferred
  • Have a degree or equivalent work experience in Business Administration, Marketing Operations, Digital Asset Management, Information Systems, Library Systems, Data Management or a related field.

At Fanatics, we value transparency and honesty. If you don't meet every single requirement, that's okay - we still want to hear from you! We believe in the power of diverse experiences and talents. If you're excited about the role and confident that you can contribute, don't hesitate to apply. We're genuinely interested in how your unique skills and perspective can help us build something amazing together.
Where You'll Work and What's required:
  • Office location: Jacksonville, FL
  • Hybrid work environment with flexibility between 3 days in office and 2 days remote work.
  • Fast-paced team environment with exposure to multiple aspects of the Fanatics Commerce business.

What's in it for You:
  • Culture: Join a team where you're surrounded by top-tier talent, driven by a shared passion to relentlessly enhance the fan experience. With a focus on collaboration, support, and continuous development, you'll be empowered to help shape a culture that celebrates both individual and team successes.
  • Benefits: We provide a wide range of health, financial, legal, and development assistance, including wellness programs with fitness and weight management partners, paid maternity paternity leave, and infertility treatment. Additionally, we offer flexible time off to help you recharge. At Fanatics, we're dedicated to supporting you in all aspects of work and life.
