Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Business Development Manager to support our growth initiatives by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and assisting in sales strategies. This role suits a commercially minded professional with early-to-mid career experience who wants to grow into a key market-facing position within a company bringing patented automation technology to the North American market. This position reports to the Director of Sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with e-commerce, 3PL, and distribution center operators; work closely with the Sales team and system integrator partners to advance opportunities through the full sales cycle.
  • Build and manage a self-generated pipeline of qualified leads; accountable for hitting quarterly pipeline and revenue targets.
  • Assist in developing and executing business development strategies.
  • Translate customer operational requirements (throughput, sortation logic, footprint constraints) into preliminary system concepts in collaboration with the engineering team.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis
  • Participate in networking events and industry meetings
  • Maintain accurate records of leads and client interactions in CRM systems

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development (internships included)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer relationship management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
