Harborview Medical Centerhas a leadership opportunity for anAssistant Nurse Manager/RN3 to join us in our Operating Room.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Harborview's Operating Room is a fast-paced, high-acuity environment operating 24/7. Our surgical team performs more than 17,000 procedures annually in 25 state-of-the-art operating suites, supporting 13 surgical specialties, including trauma, vascular, neurosurgery, orthopedics, plastics, burn, transplant, and more.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Support RN3 operational and leadership responsibilities as assigned
Partner closely with the Nurse Manager and other Assistant Nurse Manager
Convenient access to public transportation
Make a meaningful impact on patients and team members
SCHEDULE:
100% FTE
40 hours/week
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide safe, high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Coordinate care across departments to support optimal patient outcomes
Serve as a clinical resource and role model, offering guidance and support to nursing staff
Support staff onboarding, education, and competency development
Assist with daily operations, including patient flow, staffing, unit goals, program development, and process improvement initiatives
Promote effective communication among patients, families, and the care team
Serve as charge nurse as assigned and participate in committees as needed
REQUIRED
Have/Obtain a Washington State Registered Nurse license or valid Multistate license.
Two or more years of perioperative experience
Charge nurse experience or other demonstrated leadership experience
Equivalent education and experience may substitute for minimum qualifications where permitted, except when licensure, certification, or registration requirements apply.
