Anticipated vacancies full-time Early Head Start Child Development Assistants positions exists within the Early Head Start Program in the Division of Student Services of the Chester County Intermediate Unit. These are 260 day positions, working with infants and toddlers. Multiple positions are anticipated to be available across Chester County.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To assist the Child Development Specialist in planning and executing early childhood activities
  • Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with adults and children
  • Assist the teacher in carrying out the duties of caring for children

Qualifications:

  • CDA or Associates Degree, or willingness to attain CDA within one year required
  • Previous exprience working in a childcare/preschool setting preferred
  • Bilingual/Bicultural preferred
  • Current (within one year) State Criminal, Child Abuse & FBI Fingerprint, NSOR Clearance clearances required
  • Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)
  • Two professional written letters of reference 

Salary:
PRJ, HS2, $17.91 - $22.70/hr.
