About the Role: The Corporate Development Analyst will play a critical role in executing the financial and strategic analysis of potential merger & acquisition transactions. This role will assist by building financial models, developing business cases, leading external research, and contributing to the due diligence and integration efforts. The Corporate Development Analyst will be a key corporate finance team member in support of Aviatโ€™s overall corporate goals and will work closely with other areas of Aviat Networks including finance, legal, operations, sales and product teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential acquisition targets
  • Develop financial models and perform valuation analysis to support M&A activities
  • Assist in the preparation of investment presentations and other materials for senior management and board meetings
  • Support due diligence processes by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to gather and analyze relevant information
  • Track and analyze industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions
  • Assist in the development and execution of integration plans for acquired companies, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth integration processes
  • Develop and maintain integration checklists, timelines, and status reports
  • Monitor and report on integration progress, identifying and addressing any issues or roadblocks
  • Other corporate finance duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree
  • 3 years of relevant experience preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in financial analysis
  • At least 1 year of experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, hedge funds, transaction valuation, product management, consulting, or a combination
  • Proficiency in accounting and strong financial modeling skills
  • Strong research skills and demonstrated ability to evaluate and interpret financial data and other technical information
  • Possess a strong analytical ability, a sense of urgency, and intellectual curiosity
  • Demonstrated success with project management
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including senior leadership
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
