Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Applications Development Analyst in Tallahassee, FL.
Overview:
The client is seeking a Full Stack .NET Developer to support a multi-year financial systems modernization initiative. This role focuses on analyzing, documenting, and remediating a large portfolio of web applications, interfaces, and databases impacted by a statewide transition to a modern financial management platform. The ideal candidate brings strong experience across legacy and modern technologies and can work hands-on across application and data layers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze existing web applications, interfaces, and databases; Document current-state architecture and specifications
* Partner with technical and business stakeholders to define remediation strategies and prioritize efforts
* Refactor and remediate applications to align with updated financial system requirements and data structures
* Modify applications to support new chart of accounts and standardized business processes
* Collaborate with DBAs to design and implement database views, stored procedures, and data transformations
* Evaluate financial data structures and recommend improvements to data models and reporting capabilities
* Support integration updates between internal systems and external financial platforms
* Use Azure DevOps (or similar) to manage backlog, code, builds, and deployments
* Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
* Provide ongoing application support and maintenance
* Perform documentation and knowledge transfer to internal technical teams
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Technology, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience with:
* Classic ASP and/or ASP.NET
* JavaScript frameworks (Angular and/or React)
* SQL Server and/or Oracle databases
* Web application development across on-prem and cloud environments (Azure preferred)
* Strong SQL skills (queries, performance tuning, stored procedures)
* Experience analyzing and modernizing legacy applications
*Familiarity with software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
* Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Full stack development across multiple platforms and technologies
* Experience with financial systems, ERP environments, or accounting-related applications
* Understanding of data architecture concepts (ETL, data warehousing, data lakes, master data management)
* Experience working with multiple data sources and complex system integrations
* Familiarity with Scrum framework and Agile best practices

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
