Job description

Analyzes hotel performance using financial and statistical techniques to monitor business trends and the effectiveness of strategic initiatives. Exempt associates are expected to work as much of each workday as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Hospitality
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong analytical background
  • Understanding of real estate valuation methodologies, including internal rates of return and discounted cash flow analysis.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to fast pace, ever-changing environments
  • Effective organizational skills and the ability to prioritize projects
  • Flexibility to work after normal business hours.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Must be able to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations, including ability to handle shifting of priorities as the need arises
  • Must be able to show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary
  • Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc., from disparate sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions
  • Prior experience in hospitality, real estate, and/or financial analysis a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides detailed analytical support for various corporate functions and departments
  • Contributes to key financial reports for senior management
  • Communicates financial report findings and provide quantitative, data-driven insight to business development team in the pursuit of potential management contracts
  • Performs ad hoc analyses as to support functions in corporate finance and business development
  • Drives standardization, simplification, and automation of Business Development procedures
  • Develops and maintain working relationships while interacting with all levels of management
  • Develops relationships with brand feasibility teams and industry consultants.
  • Researches and responds to information requests from internal departments and management
