Job description

Partial Description of Work Activities / Duties

·         Provide onsite and remote support for desktop, server, peripheral, and network connectivity issues.

·         Diagnose and resolve workstation and application issues (Microsoft Windows), including printers and other peripherals.

·         Troubleshoot TCP/IP connectivity (DNS, DHCP, routing, Wi-Fi/VLAN fundamentals) and coordinate escalation when required.

·         Assist with server support activities, including basic Active Directory tasks, patching, backups, and service monitoring.

·         Support virtualized environments and storage systems (VMware/Hyper-V exposure; NAS/SAN familiarity).

·         Deploy and maintain endpoint security and protection tools (anti-malware, firewall/endpoint protection, patching).

·         Document work performed, maintain network/system documentation, and keep accurate asset and configuration records.

·         Support data center operations and monitoring functions, including troubleshooting physical plant and cabling issues when needed.


Required Skills and Qualifications

·         Working knowledge of Microsoft client and server operating systems.

·         Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts and troubleshooting.

·         Professional customer service skills with clear verbal and written communication.

·         Ability to prioritize and triage multiple issues while maintaining attention to detail.

·         Comfort working independently and collaboratively within a team.


Preferred Experience

·         Exposure to virtualized server environments (VMware and/or Hyper-V).
