Job description

Desktop EngineerPosition Summary

We are seeking an experienced Desktop Engineer to provide hands-on support for desktops, laptops, mobile computing devices, and related technology equipment. This role is responsible for hardware and software troubleshooting, end-user support, device deployment, and collaborating with internal IT teams to resolve technical issues. The position is primarily based in the Frankfort, KY area and may require occasional travel to regional office locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and support desktop computers, laptops, mobile data devices, and associated peripherals.
  • Provide hardware and software troubleshooting and support for end-user devices and business applications.
  • Assist with installation, maintenance, and support of technology equipment in mobile and field-based environments.
  • Coordinate with third-party support providers when necessary to resolve workstation-related issues.
  • Collaborate with Tier 1 and Tier 3 support teams to troubleshoot and escalate technical issues.
  • Manage and document incidents, requests, and resolutions within the IT ticketing system.
  • Deploy, configure, image, and maintain endpoint devices.
  • Support printers, peripheral devices, and related technology equipment.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Perform additional technical duties and support activities as assigned.

  • Experience supporting Windows desktop operating systems and enterprise productivity applications.
  • Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of desktop deployment, imaging, and endpoint configuration.
