A vacancy exists for a part-time Marketing and Admissions Intern within the Communications, Marketing and Community Engagement division of the Chester County Intermediate Unit for the 2026-2027 school year. The Intern will gain valuable on-the-job training and experience assisting the marketing manager, graphic designer and admissions specialist with duties related to the marketing, recruitment and enrollment of students for CCIU programs.
Qualifications:
  • Candidate must be currently enrolled as a college student majoring in marketing/communications/related studies
  • Knowledge of various Software Training Programs in Word Processing and Desktop Publishing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Digital photography skills preferred
  • Current child abuse, criminal history and FBI clearances required

Essential Job Skills:
  • Strong design skills with specific attention to detail and a desire to learn new software and art skills as needs arise
  • Knowledge of Mac operating system and the following software programs:
    • Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)
    • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Microsoft Outlook
    • HTML/CSS web design experience a plus
  • Familiarity with social media strategies and platforms
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Ability to management multiple projects with tight deadlines

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with marketing & communications team members to gather all necessary information and assets in order to initiate projects.
  • Assist in the design and production of various print and digital projects from initial design to preparing final files for vendors, ensuring all CCIU standards are met.
  • Complete projects by coordinating with outside services, printers, internal team members, etc. and ensure timelines/deadlines are met.
  • Support the admissions specialist in preparing materials for events and updating contact lists and communications for the upcoming school year.
  • Provide support and back-up to the communications and learning solutions division as needed.

Salary: $17.34 per hour
Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week. Days and times determined by student's school schedule. Between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday
