Information Technology Internship

The State of Florida is seeking motivated individuals to join our workforce. Our internship opportunities offer bright, highly motivated college students and recent graduates a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the operations of state government while obtaining valuable on-the-job training. Are you hungry for innovation and passionate about technology and problem solving? IT professionals within each state agency help create and maintain the digital path to keep state government running. Please consider our excellent internship opportunities within the areas of Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Desktop Support, Network Engineering, and other related fields. Applications are accepted year-round. Internships may be paid or unpaid and there is no guarantee of employment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with others.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to test, trouble shoot and resolve errors in operating systems.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access...)
  • Basic knowledge of various operating systems.
  • Basic knowledge of security protocols, best practices and common vulnerabilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled or graduated within the last twelve months from an accredited college or university degree program.
  • No experience required for this position.
