Office Assistant
CLAY – Custom Millwork & Furniture Manufacturing
Manchester, Connecticut

Position Summary
CLAY is seeking a reliable and organized Office Assistant to support the daily operations of our custom millwork and furniture manufacturing business. This role is responsible for helping maintain an efficient office environment by supporting administrative tasks, customer communication, scheduling, and general office coordination.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. This position works closely with ownership, office staff, production team, vendors, and customers to help keep projects and operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
  •  Answer incoming phone calls and respond to emails professionally 
  •  Greet customers, vendors, and visitors 
  •  Assist with filing, scanning, and organizing office documents 
  •  Maintain organized digital and physical project files 
  •  Support daily office operations and administrative tasks 
  •  Assist ownership and staff with scheduling and coordination 
Customer & Vendor Communication
  •  Communicate with customers regarding appointments, scheduling, and project updates 
  •  Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding deliveries and orders 
  •  Route inquiries to the appropriate team members 
  •  Maintain professional communication across all departments 
Project & Office Coordination
  •  Assist with organizing project paperwork and documentation
