Summary
Employees in this role are part of a broader customer delivery team responsible for new customer onboarding. Data Migration Consultants facilitate the one-time transfers of customer data into the Encompass Cloud Platform (ECP). Data Migration Consultants follow standards and best practices to assure the quality, repeatability, performance, and scale of Encompass data migrations providing a high quality customer experience and limited rework.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan: Work collaboratively with the Managing Consultant, customer data owners, and other Encompass project stakeholders to define data migration activities and schedule for new customer onboarding.
  • Migrate & Resolve: Owns the migration of key customer data to drive the ECP system configuration and populate historical transactional data required for customers to go-live. This includes directly extracting data from legacy systems, working with customer stakeholders to populate import templates, importing the data into ECP, validating the data for accuracy and completeness, and working with the customer and project team to resolve issues.
  • Execute: Complete planned activities on time and within budget, consistent with the onboarding project plan, and to our standard of quality.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Understanding of ERP, route accounting, warehouse management, account/financial, and/or beverage production software solutions and delivery methods (preferred.)
  • Experience extracting data from a variety of software platforms and delivery methods, including web-based, cloud-based systems, and middleware solutions.
  • Experience migrating data between software systems using ETL/ELT systems and practices.
  • Analytical and curious mindset and ability to follow structured delivery approaches.
  • Comfortable engaging customers in data mapping, validation and troubleshooting activities.
  • Experience with technology productivity tools including Google Apps (Docs/Sheets/Slides.)
  • Broad understanding of software implementation.
  • Ability to gain deep technical knowledge of product(s) supported and methods for transforming and importing data.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay up-to-date with technology changes or industry changes relative to product(s) supported (i.e., brewery, winery, distillery, distribution, retailer, non-alcoholic beverages.)

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or Business (or related degree), or demonstrated relevant experience.
  • Customer facing consulting experience and a minimum 2 years of experience managing data migration projects.

This role offers a competitive salary, bonus, and benefits. The salary for US-based employees located in the markets below may expect offers in the ranges for this role.
US annual base: $62,000 - $79,000 annually
A variety of factors are considered when determining someone's compensation, including a candidate's professional background, experience, and location. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above, based on the following considerations.
Location: We are a hybrid organization that is open to remote work. Must be based in the United States. Our corporate office is located in Fort Collins, CO.
