Job Title: AWS Data Migration Specialist
Location: Austin, TX - Onsite
Job Type: Contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking an AWS Data Migration Specialist to plan, execute, and support data migration projects from on-premises or cloud environments to AWS. The ideal candidate will have experience with AWS migration services, data integration, database migration, and cloud best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute data migration strategies to AWS cloud environments.
  • Migrate databases, applications, and data workloads using AWS migration tools.
  • Assess source systems and identify migration dependencies and risks.
  • Validate data integrity, accuracy, and performance after migration.
  • Monitor migration activities and troubleshoot issues during project execution.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders.
  • Implement security, compliance, and AWS best practices throughout the migration process.
  • Maintain migration documentation and provide status updates.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience with AWS services such as AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), AWS DataSync, AWS S3, RDS, and EC2.
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
  • Understanding of data migration methodologies and ETL processes.
  • Strong SQL, scripting, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and networking concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:
