Job description

Job Summary:
Woolpert is an award-winning, global leader in architecture, engineering, and geospatial services. They are seeking a Technical Dynamics 365 Data Migration Manager to lead and execute ERP data migrations for acquired companies, ensuring accurate and timely integration into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Customer Engagement.
Responsibilities:
• Own and lead the ERP Data Migration workstream within Woolpert’s overall M&A integration program.
• Define and execute end‑to‑end data migration strategies for complex ERP integrations following acquisitions.
• Partner closely with the M&A Integration Director, Corporate Applications leadership, Business Process Owners, and acquisition stakeholders to define data requirements, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
• Lead and manage a blended team of approximately 10 employees and contractors, supporting multiple parallel ERP migrations globally.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, and efficiency across migration and ETL processes.
• Design, build, and oversee data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from legacy systems into Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and CE.
• Lead data mapping and conversion for master data and historical transactional data, including complex financial, operational, and multicurrency datasets.
• Ensure accurate integration with downstream and upstream systems (e.g., Dayforce and other enterprise platforms).
• Execute mock conversions, cutover planning, and final production migrations with a strong focus on accuracy and auditability.
• Own data reconciliation, validation, and issue resolution between source systems and target ERP.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of migrated data through robust validation, testing, and reconciliation processes.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues, inconsistencies, gaps, and anomalies prior to migration.
• Design and implement error handling and rollback strategies to mitigate migration risk.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation covering mappings, transformation logic, validation results, and operational procedures.
• Own the architecture and design of ERP data migration solutions across all M&A activity.
• Reduce migration cycle time through innovative tools, automation, and repeatable frameworks.
• Continuously refine and evolve ETL processes to improve quality, scalability, and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in managing/leading teams and delivering full‑lifecycle ERP implementations.
• 10+ years of experience working with data migrations for complex ERP implementations, preferably in M&A environments.
• 7+ years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, including deep knowledge of data entities and structures.
• 10+ years of demonstrated expertise in SQL, including queries, scripting, and stored procedures.
• 10+ years of experience in data analysis, conversions, source‑to‑target mappings, testing, and operational support.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, including queries, scripting, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Extensive experience with ETL tools and ERP migration platforms such as Azure Data Factory (ADF), DMF/DIXF, KingswaySoft (SSIS), eOne SmartConnect, TIBCO Scribe, or equivalent tools.
• Strong data analysis and transformation skills using SQL, Excel, and ETL platforms.
• Experience with multicurrency financial data, including general ledger structures, historical exchange rates, and financial reconciliation. Must demonstrate proven expertise in mapping and reconciling financial transactions across multiple currencies, managing historical exchange rates, and ensuring balance integrity and consistency.
• Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and coach technical and functional data migration teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and business audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly and concisely.
• Proven ability to operate in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven M&A environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills across both verbal (day‑to‑day discussions, team meetings, workshops) and written (requirements and design specifications) communication, with a consistent focus on clarity and precision.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to evaluate complex datasets, reconcile discrepancies, and translate data into actionable insights.
• Adaptability and resourcefulness in dynamic, high‑change environments.
• Strong business acumen with an understanding of how data migration impacts financial and operational outcomes.
Preferred:
• Familiarity with Azure, Dataverse, Power Platform, Power BI, and Azure DevOps is preferred.
