Job description

SAP Data Migration Lead

Visa: USC or GC only

Contract length: 1 year

Location: Plano, TX/ Dallas, TX/ Boston, MA (Should be local to any of these locations, work will be on hybrid model/ fully remote based out of the need)

Responsibilities
  • Collaborating with the client in Data Quality, Profiling and Cleansing, Data harmonization
  • Collaborating with the client on Address cleansing for Customer and Vendor
  • Design and develop de-duplication mechanism.
  • Designing an appropriate data migration solution, Create data migration strategy and Technical Specification documents.
  • Building, testing, executing, and managing data migration solution utilizing tools such SAP Data Services, Information steward, IDOCS, BAPI, LSMW and SAP Migration cockpit.
  • Build data quality scorecards.
  • Preload and post load report preparation and validation and advise on data cleansing requirements.
  • Providing advisory services to the business to understand their data management issues and advising on appropriate data management strategies and techniques.
  • Perform data migration dress rehearsals (mock loads), migration cutover tasks and post go-live support.
  • A wide experience across a range of SAP ERP in Consumer Products and Retail is a plus.
  • Experience in data analysis and reconciliation, Experience with mock loads and cutover planning and preparation of data migration tasks.
  • Working with SAP functional consultants analyzing data migration requirements
  • Able to follow, track and manage a plan provided to them, work with data migration practice and offshore team.
  • Able to speak to client management team and present the status and escalate delays as identified
Skills and Experience
  • 15+ years of SAP Experience.
  • 10 years of SAP Data migration experience (At least 5-10 full SAP Data Migration cycles)
  • Knowledge of SAP & Back office Associates Information Steward Components like Data Insight and Cleansing, Package Builder to create data quality rules and dictionaries to standardize the data.
  • Strong experience in SAP Data Services, Information steward, IDOCS, BAPI, LSMW and SAP Migration cockpit, Excel, Data Services and SQL tools & Transformations.
  • Knowledge of Data Quality, Profiling and Cleansing, Data harmonization
  • Basics of SAP ABAP programming (ability to read code and debug). Experience with ABAP programming to include logic/validations in LSMWs is a plus.
  • Knowledge on the SAP and Non-SAP Best Practices for Data Migrations
  • Experience on performance optimizations
  • Should be able to work independently and analyze problems and provide solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, good consulting skills are a pre-requisite, with business facing consulting capability.
  • Exposure to SAP HANA. Understanding of Structure difference between SAP ECC and S4 HANA
