Data Migration Specialist

Jonas Software - Premier Division

Jonas Software is seeking a detail-oriented Data Migration Specialist to support the successful onboarding of clients to Premier Construction Software platform. This role is responsible for extracting, cleansing, validating, mapping, and importing client data to ensure a smooth and accurate transition into the system.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage data migration activities for new client implementations, including data collection, review, mapping, cleansing, validation, and import.
  • Work closely with Implementation, Support, and clients to understand data structures, business requirements, and migration timelines.
  • Analyze source data from legacy systems and prepare it for import into the application.
  • Identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and gaps, and work with clients to resolve them.
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure completeness and accuracy after migration.
  • Maintain migration documentation, templates, and best practices.
  • Support testing and go-live activities related to migrated data.
  • Troubleshoot migration-related issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
  • Continuously improve data migration processes to increase accuracy, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
  • Provide client guidance on data requirements, formatting, and readiness for migration.

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in data migration, data analysis, software implementation, or a related role.
  • Experience working with spreadsheets, CSV files, databases, and data import/export processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand data relationships, field mapping, and transformation requirements.
  • Comfortable working with large data sets and managing multiple deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Query and Power Automate
  • Experience supporting SaaS, ERP, business, or construction software is an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL or reporting tools is considered an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma preferred.
