Job Description Job Title: Senior Project Manager Location: Downtown Toronto (3x per week on-site) Contract Length: 1 year with strong chance of extension or conversion Our client is seeking a seasoned, hands-on Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of enterprise-wide data and integration projects, including a flagship AI initiative. This role is ideal for a practitioner who thrives in an evolving, immature project management environment and possesses the unique ability to blend rigorous methodology with empathetic, high-touch stakeholder management. You won't just be managing a timeline; you will be the driving force establishing a culture of project discipline.

You will partner closely with business leaders to define business cases, translate visions into concrete requirements, and establish rock-solid project charters before managing those deliverables. Responsibilities: Project Management Discipline & Framework Establishment Introduce, adapt, and champion core project management fundamentals tailored to a small-to-mid-size organization. Meet the organization where it is; pragmatically adjust methodologies to fit a developing PM environment without causing organizational friction.

Coach, mentor, and guide cross-functional stakeholders on project best practices, building overall organizational capability and discipline. Project Discovery & Scoping Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, guiding them through the process of defining and building robust business cases. Facilitate workshops to extract, analyze, and translate ambiguous business needs into clear, actionable requirements.

Define, lock down, and define project scope while authoring comprehensive project charters to align executive sponsors and delivery teams. Enterprise Platform & AI Delivery End-to-end management of complex, enterprise-wide platform deployments, specifically focusing on complex data architectures, pipelines, and system integrations. Successfully plan, execute, and deliver AI/Machine Learning related initiatives, navigating the unique lifecycle challenges (data readiness, model training, iterative deployment) inherent to AI projects.

Manage technical dependencies, risks, and resource constraints across engineering, and business teams. Qualifications: Minimum of 8+ years of dedicated project management experience, with a proven track record in small-to-mid-size organizational environments. Proven success delivering enterprise-scale data platforms, API/system integrations, and at least one successfully deployed AI or Advanced Analytics project.

Demonstrated experience maturing a low-maturity PM environment. Exceptional emotional intelligence (EQ) and patience. You must be comfortable with guiding stakeholders through discovery and change management.

Mastery in authoring Project Charters, Scope Statements, Risk Registers, and Business Case documentation. PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent practical experience demonstrating a deep toolkit of methodologies.
