Job Summary:
Ampcus Inc. is a certified global provider of a broad range of Technology and Business consulting services. We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Specialist to join our team for a critical data migration project involving the Nasuni Data Platform. The ideal candidate will manage data migration processes, validate data, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project success.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the migration of data, including data and root shares, from existing Nasuni sources to Nasuni destinations.
• Conduct data separation activities and validate completed migration data.
• Create folder structures and network shares based on findings and business standards approved by the customer.
• Advise the customer on the creation of Active Directory groups/users required for new data locations, if needed.
• Apply NTFS permissions as required for folder archive and business needs up to two tiers/folders in the directory structure.
• Provide logistics and coordination of all seed servers, if necessary.
• Provide properly sized seed server specifications, if necessary.
• Use tools necessary for data migration and folder creation of all new destination folders in cloud object volumes.
• Verify and validate data migration and shares.
• Modify and set standard configuration Nasuni eviction processes on each of the Nasuni VMs.
• Conduct user acceptance testing.
• Document processes and provide status reporting and updates.
Qualifications:
Required:
• US Citizenship and residency in the Continental US / Lower 48 States.
• 5+ years of experience with:
• Nasuni Data Platform
• Windows File Server migrations, including using Robocopy data migration tools
• Robocopy scripting
• Active Directory NTFS security permissions with alignment to Nasuni Hybrid Cloud File Systems
• Azure Storage Accounts
• Microsoft Active Directory and TCP/IP networking
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with milestone-based project execution.
• Ability to interface, coordinate, and communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Experience conducting user acceptance testing.
• Strong process documentation skills.
• Experience with data migration projects in a cloud environment.
• Familiarity with Nasuni Hybrid Cloud File Systems.
