Job description

Scope of position:
Reporting to the Vendor Pricing Manager, the Vendor Pricing Analyst is responsible for maintaining vendor pricing records and assisting with product data maintenance in the SXe database. This includes conducting pricing reviews, troubleshooting pricing inaccuracies, maintaining promotional pricing, mass maintenance of product data, preparing reports and other documents, as well as the continuous improvement of existing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide analysis and reporting on impacts from proposed vendor pricing changes.
Work with large sets of data to update and maintain vendor pricing records.
Troubleshoot pricing issues and inaccuracies.
Facilitation of the pricing update process from our internal supply chain team
Facilitation of product data change requests
Control lifecycle of promotional pricing opportunities
Administration of active vendor price list files
Ongoing SXe database maintenance and improvement
Administration and data entry for Vendor Pricing Database including vendor price updates, discount structures, unit conversions, and more.
Prepare reports and other documents for distribution to the Supply Chain team.
Work with Vendor Pricing Manager to detail and improve existing pricing processes.
Read, understand, and follow Vallen's health, safety, and environment policies and all applicable OH&S legislation/regulations.
Other duties as required.
Education & Training:
College/University Diploma in Computer Sciences and/or BComm required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office required, including strong Excel and Access skills.
Knowledge of VBA, SQL, and/or Python an asset.
* Knowledge of BI Tools (Power BI, Cognos) an asset.
