Job description

The position requires working on-site.

Job Summary:  The Data Report Analyst- Patient Safety and Reliability (PSR) collaborates with Quality and Safety Specialist responsible for LLUH system wide Resuscitation databases and Policy databases.  In collaboration with administration, physician leadership teams, and quality departments to ensure the development of strategic resuscitation data requirements and meaning reports to meet key quality and patient safety outcomes and initiatives.  Utilizes independent judgement and critical thinking in the participation of data abstraction and patient specific and process data base entry.  Performs duties in collaboration with executive, clinical, physician, and quality leadership in support of LLUH system policy processes including but not limited to development, coordination, and approval completion. Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to maximize efficiency and excellence in customer service and collaboration. Performs other duties as needed. 

Education and Experience:   Bachelor's Degree in the field of Business, Management, or Healthcare related field with demonstrated expertise in computer science required. Minimum one year of experience in related field required. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Knowledge and Skills:  Knowledge of a variety of software, including Oracle, database management, data modeling, visualization and architecture tools. Knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations as it relates to data, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards and data security. Knowledge of value-based care, quality, patient safety, performance improvement processes and methodologies, and data analysis. Read, write legibly, and speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, specialized databases used in department). Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position.  Relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction.  Think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.

Licensures and Certifications:  Valid driver's license required. Certified Data Management Professional through the Data Management Association preferred. Certified Data Professional through the Institute for Certification of Computing Professionals preferred.
