Job description

Overview

We're hiring CNC Machinists for our precision industrial equipment manufacturer.

We build advanced custom equipment for the construction and utilities industries in a climate-controlled, high-mix, low-volume shop. You'll run everything from 2-axis lathes to 5-axis vertical and horizontal mills and mill-turns.

Whether you're fresh out of trade school or bring 15 years of complex setup experience, we'll train you on our machines and align your pay to your capability — with a real path onto bigger, more advanced equipment over time.

Compensation

  • $25 – $30 / hr
  • $4,000 sign-on bonus
  • Profit sharing + rapid raises

Hiring on 2nd and Weekend Shift

  • 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM (4 x 10s)
  • Weekend Shift: Friday – Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (3 x 12s – paid for 40)

Responsibilities

  • Setups: Load fixtures and tooling, then select the correct machining program.
  • Offsets: Set work coordinates and tool offsets for each new job.
  • First Articles: Size in first parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators.
  • Blueprints: Read complex drawings, symbols, and GD&T tolerances.
  • Production: Meet assigned run times while holding strict specifications.
  • Troubleshooting: Resolve programming and operational issues at your machine in real time.

Requirements

Qualifications

Required

  • 1+ years of CNC mill and/or lathe experience
  • Ability to measure dimensions with manual tools
  • Consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Desire to grow into setup-heavy work

Preferred

  • 3+ years of CNC machining experience
  • Experience running multi-axis mills or mill-turns
  • Ability to perform your own setups and tear-downs
  • Experience performing first-article inspections
  • Ability to read GD&T and complex blueprints
  • Experience in high-mix, low-volume shops
  • Comfort troubleshooting programs at the machine
