Description:

Custom Engineering is currently seeking 2nd shift CNC Machinists to operate horizontal boring mills, vertical mills and bridge mills. Up to $30.00 per hour BOE (Includes $2.00 Shift differential)

  • Create a set up and remove workpieces from a machine per procedure
  • Proficiently use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and gauges to ensure conformance of specified tolerances
  • Proficient at performing in-process inspections at a machine and adjusting various offsets to ensure conformance of workpieces as required
  • Position and secure workpieces on machines using measuring instruments, holding devices, hand tools, and cranes
  • Study blueprints, lay outs, sketches, and work orders to determine tolerances and work procedures
  • Proficient knowledge in general machining practices
  • Ability to recognize tooling types and procedures for machining close tolerances

Requirements

Trade Certification or equivalent experience. Experience in CNC operation/schooling Proficient in reading and understanding documents, blueprints and basic GD&T Knowledge of addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals and calculate tooling speeds and feeds Proficient knowledge of CNC controls and G-code commands Ability to adjust/set tool lengths, set work offsets, and make adjustments within a program Crane experience Forklift experience Must be authorized to work in the US
