As we continue to grow, we're seeking an experienced CNC Mill Setup Machinist to join our Saginaw team. This role is ideal for a machinist who enjoys variety, takes pride in producing high-quality parts, and thrives in a job shop environment where no two days are exactly alike.

You'll work on a wide range of low-volume, high-mix projects while helping maintain the quality standards that have made CIGNYS a trusted manufacturing partner since 1919.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Perform complete setups and operation of CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers
  • Set tooling, work offsets, and workholding for new and repeat jobs
  • Prove out new programs and make adjustments as needed
  • Make simple G-code edits at the machine
  • Run small-batch and custom production jobs across a variety of materials
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
  • Select and utilize appropriate inspection equipment
  • Verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring tools
  • Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T requirements, and job travelers
  • Complete required production and quality documentation
  • Assist coworkers with first article inspections and setup support
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
