About the role
We are seeking a Sr. CRM Developer to lead the technical development and optimization of our omnichannel marketing and patient engagement campaigns. This is a hands-on engineering role that will focus on designing, building, testing, and optimizing marketing automation journeys using CRM tool, integrating it with a modern digital ecosystem including CDP, Twilio, data analytics, patient scheduling, and content platforms.
Reporting to the Director, Digital Engineering, you will play a key role in expanding our personalization strategy, increasing engagement, and driving conversion uplift across email, SMS, push, and in-app messaging-while supporting ongoing platform migration, architecture improvements, and marketing innovation.
This is a hybrid role out of our Vienna, VA or Raleigh, NC offices with a minimum of two onsite days per week.
You Will
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain CRM Canvases, email campaigns, push, in-app messages, and SMS journeys (Twilio).
  • Create dynamic Liquid logic, personalization tokens, custom attributes, segments, and triggers to drive highly personalized communications.
  • Build HTML5/CSS-compliant, responsive templates; handle cross-channel creative execution.
  • Manage A/B tests, multivariate testing, holdout groups, and performance monitoring; interpret results to improve KPIs.
  • Collaborate with Data, Product, CRM, and Marketing teams to translate business goals into Braze implementations.
  • Create and manage CRM APIs, webhooks, data extensions, segment logic, and external integrations (e.g., CDPs, mobile apps).
  • Oversee data schema design, ingestion, and campaign data pipelines; ensure clean and secure integrations.
  • Contribute to platform migration projects, architecture decisions, and feature expansions within Braze and related Martech stack.
  • Support accessibility, deliverability, and compliance best practices.
  • Troubleshoot issues in segmentation logic, audience targeting, campaign performance, and message delivery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate using tools like Jira, Confluence, Git, and PPM platforms.

About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Marketing Technology, or the equivalent combination of education, skills and experience.
  • CRM Certification(s) preferred
  • Proven experience using Liquid, CRM APIs, custom events, CRM Currents, and campaign automation features.
  • Strong SQL skills; experience handling large datasets and custom segmentation logic.
  • Ability to create and troubleshoot HTML/CSS responsive email templates and messaging formats.
  • Experience with cross-channel strategy including SMS (Twilio), Inkit (print), in-app, and push notifications.
  • Familiarity with CDPs (e.g., Microsoft CI), and their use in campaign orchestration.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, user identity management, and preference centers.
  • Proficient with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, CI/CD, and workflow documentation
  • Exposure to marketing technologies such as Facebook Ads, Sprout Social, Yext , Postal vendor, CRM Currents, and CMS platforms
  • Understanding of HIPAA compliance, security best practices, and consent-driven communication.
  • Highly collaborative and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Data-driven mindset with a passion for driving patient engagement and conversion uplift through experimentation.
  • Comfortable working across global teams in hybrid/remote environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating complex technical topics for non-technical stakeholders.
