How will this role impact First Command?
The Credit Card Servicing Representative is responsible for supporting the ongoing servicing of credit card accounts. This role ensures delivery of a world-class experience to First Command clients, field advisors, and their staff on all credit card-related matters. The position supports account performance by resolving servicing requests efficiently, educating clients, and identifying risks that may lead to delinquency or loss.
What will this employee do in this role?
Account Servicing & Client Support
- Respond to inbound and outbound client inquiries related to credit card accounts (balances, transactions, payments, fees, disputes)
- Provide clear and accurate information regarding account terms, payment options, and account status
- Assist clients with general servicing requests, including account updates, payment arrangements, and account maintenance
- Ensure a positive client experience through timely, professional, and compliant communication
Payment & Transaction Processing
- Process payments, adjustments, reversals, and account changes accurately in system(s) of record
- Research and resolve transaction discrepancies, payment issues, and account variances
- Monitor and escalate returned payments or processing errors as appropriate
Early Delinquency & Risk Identification
- Provide education on payment responsibilities and available assistance options
- Transition accounts to Collections when Past due in accordance with procedures
Collaboration & Operational Support
- Partner with Collections, Recovery, Disputes, and Fraud teams to resolve complex account issues
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate resolution of client concerns
- Support system updates, testing, and process improvements related to credit card servicing
What skills and qualifications does this employee need?
Education
- High School education or equivalent (college preferred)
Work Experience
- 1 - 3 years banking or related experience
- 1 - 2 years call center experience (preferred)
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be able to demonstrate exceptional client experience skills
- Must possess strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Must be able to apply bank policy and underwriting guidelines to all situations
- Must be able to discern when exceptions to policy are appropriate
- Must be able to apply all appropriate lending regulations to the process
- Must be able to maintain confidential information
- Must be familiar with and able to operate Microsoft Excel and Word and able to learn other systems as appropriate
- Must possess the ability to take ownership of the duties and produce accurate results
