Job description

Coordinates creative arts for large rooms and worship experiences for the Preschool ministry at Prestonwood Baptist Church - Plano Campus ("PBC-PC").

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Preschool large room Sunday worship experiences and special events (decor, lighting, props, tech and media)
  • Ensure Preschool worship experiences reinforce curriculum teaching points
  • Maintain Preschool creative areas
  • Assist as directed in Preschool large rooms
  • Recruit and coordinate volunteers for Preschool creative arts (decor, worship teams)
  • Collaborate with Student Ministry to coordinate and schedule teens to serve
  • Ensure all creative flows are provided to volunteers in a timely manner
  • Ensure volunteer screening processes are followed
  • Assist in writing scripts and flows for Preschool worship experiences as directed
  • Create decor and props as necessary for special events
  • Assist with general oversight of props, sets and costumes
  • Collaborate in creative planning for special events (Adventure Week, Christmas, etc.)
  • Produce and post social media content for Preschool
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of PBC-PC
  • Have a joyful passion for Children's Ministry
  • Comfortable being on stage in front of kids
  • Excellent organizational and management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Ability to work a Sunday - Thursday schedule with occasional Sundays as needed
  • Ability to work at a desk with a computer screen for extended periods of time, occasionally perform physical activities that require moving one's whole body, such as walking, stooping, pushing/pulling a cart, and lifting up to 30 pounds without assistance
