Job description

S&OP Network Planning Manager

Pella, Iowa (hybrid) 

As the S&OP Network Planning Manager, you will help shape and elevate the S&OP process at Pella Corporation in partnership with the Pella S&OP, IT, Finance, and Sales teams as well as external vendors. In this highly visible role, you will collaborate with senior leaders across the business to drive alignment, enable timely decision-making, and support customer reliability goals. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic, analytical leader who enjoys turning data into insight, influencing cross-functional decisions, and continuously improving planning processes. In this role, you will help lead and strengthen the S&OP process while partnering across functions to improve visibility, responsiveness, and business performance. 

You will also: 

  • Lead the analysis, development, and presentation of insights that support effective Demand and Supply Reviews.
  • Drive scenario planning efforts to address risks, capture opportunities, and evaluate financial impact against budget and prior planning cycles.
  • Serve as a key contributor to the end-to-end S&OP process, helping ensure cross-functional alignment and execution.
  • Proactively communicate critical changes and planning updates to both upstream and downstream partners.
  • Continuously improve forecast quality by evaluating promotional activity, demand initiatives, and consumption trends. 
  • Lead forecast accuracy (MAPE) discussions with channel leaders and help shape the demand plan accordingly.
  • Monitor and report forecast accuracy metrics to identify gaps, uncover trends, and drive continuous improvement with key stakeholders.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement improvements that strengthen the effectiveness of S&OP processes.
  • Lead the development and integration of S&OP tools such as INFOR, Anaplan, Kinaxis, or Blue Yonder to support robust planning, rapid scenario modeling, and exception reporting.
  • Document Pella's S&OP process, key deliverables, and timelines within Pella's Data Catalog to improve visibility and consistency.

Supervisory Duties:

This role currently leads one direct report, Network Planner.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, plus 4-8 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates with backgrounds in sales, supply chain, supply chain consulting, business analytics or operations are encouraged to apply.  Preference given to candidates with cross functional experience in multiple functions.

Computer Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, Oracle, Alation, and Power BI/Tableau is preferred. 

  • Experience working with advanced supply chain planning tools and a solid understanding of ERP data and transaction flows-ideally within Oracle ERP-will help drive success in this role.

Certifications:

An MBA or APICS certification is preferred but not required.
