About the Role:

We are looking for an exceptional Head of US / Country Manager to build, grow, and lead Mercuryos US business. This role is ideal for someone who deeply understands the US fintech and crypto ecosystem and can drive commercial growth in a highly regulated environment. You will own Mercuryos US strategy end-to-end from market expansion and business development to regulatory coordination and operational execution. Working closely with Business Development, Product, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Leadership, you will ensure the US business scales successfully while remaining fully aligned with our global teams. This is a builder role requiring both strategic thinking and strong execution, balancing revenue growth and partnerships with governance, execution, and cross-functional leadership.

Your Role:

US Strategy & Growth

  • Define and execute Mercuryos US strategy in alignment with global leadership.
  • Identify growth opportunities across on/off-ramp, payments, cards, and embedded finance.
  • Build a strong pipeline of strategic partnerships and drive revenue growth.
  • Monitor market trends, competition, and customer demand.

Commercial Expansion

  • Lead US new business acquisition across merchants, exchanges, wallets, fintechs, and ecosystem partners.
  • Build executive relationships, negotiate complex deals, and drive commercial expansion.
  • Represent Mercuryo at major industry events and strategic meetings.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as the central leader for US priorities across Product, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations, Support, and BD.
  • Create clear ownership, remove blockers, and drive execution.
  • Ensure the US organization operates as one Mercuryo, with no disconnect from global teams.

Regulatory & Operational Leadership

  • Build trusted relationships with regulators, banking partners, legal advisors, and key stakeholders.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Risk on evolving US regulatory requirements, including Money Transmitter Licenses (MTLs), state licensing, and digital asset frameworks.
  • Oversee operational scaling, governance, vendor management, and process efficiency.

Performance & Leadership

  • Own US KPIs, budget, and performance reporting.
  • Track growth, revenue, operational, and risk metrics.
  • Build a high-performance culture with strong ownership and accountability.

What Were Looking For:

  • 10+ years of experience in fintech, crypto, banking, payments, or financial services.
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership role with ownership over revenue, strategy, or market expansion.
  • Strong understanding of the US crypto, payments, and regulatory landscape.
  • Proven track record of scaling businesses, markets, or business units.
  • Strong commercial instincts with demonstrated success in enterprise sales or strategic partnerships.
  • Experience working in highly cross-functional and fast-paced environments.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority across distributed teams.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure from scratch.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.

What Makes You Exceptional:

  • You think like an owner, not an employee.
  • You balance strategy with execution.
  • You move fast without sacrificing judgement.
  • You know how to align multiple teams around one goal.
  • You can operate equally well in boardrooms, regulatory meetings, and internal execution calls.
  • You understand that growth without operational excellence is fragile.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive market rate salary and performance-based incentives.
  • 22 days annual leave with an additional 6 company days, plus bank holidays.
  • Comprehensive health insurance plans.
  • Extensive benefits program.
  • Flexible work schedule and remote work options.
  • Modern offices and co-working spaces across 6 countries.
  • Working equipment.
  • Professional development and training opportunities.
  • Opportunity to shape the initiatives youre working on.
  • Diverse and friendly team.
  • We are open-minded to new ideas.
